The shit has hit the fan

Yes boys and girls, it is true. ICANN has pulled the accreditation of evil registrar RegisterFly. Effective immediately!!!

This is a new day!! Be sure to read all about it.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

ICANN had the audacity yesterday to suggest that there were issues of importance to ICANN beyond that of RegisterFly.

The NERVE!

There is nothing that should be more pressing to ICANN right now except RegisterFly. Well, unless some other registrar (eNom perhaps?) were trying to screw over their customers. ICANN says they're not in the business of protecting customers. That's what the Better Business Bureau is for. The bitch of it is, ICANN, you are a watchdog. You're the ones who accredit registrars. No one else does. Just you. You are the end of the unless someone with clout goes to the President of the United States, who would via their lines of communication, pressure you to act.

Thus, I reiterate. There should be nothing more important right now to ICANN than decrediting RegisterFly, and saving their customers.

End of story.

An Ode to Mike Zupke

Mike Zupke is the Chief Transfer dude at ICANN. In recognition of his efforts to expediently pull their accreditation, we here at Green Joe have written An Ode to Mike Zupke. It's to the tune of the Oscar Meyer wiener song.

Oh I wish I were a Mike Zupke wiener
That is what I'd truly like to be
For if I were a Mike Zupke wiener,
ICANN would be in love with me.

Mike, despite his best efforts, has a long road to go. And as we all know, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Get your act together, Mikey! Paul Levins too. He may get a song soon too!!

It's all about... RegisterFly!!!

Did you ever love somebody so
Much that you just want to her to fly away
With you, so fly away with me,
To a place far away from here
Yeah

- Jessica Simpson

ICANN is courting with disaster. They continue to communicate with Kevin Medina and RegisterFly, instead of doing the right thing, and pulling their accreditation.

On their blog, ICANN has said:

"It was agreed that ICANN and RegisterFly would have a further discussion on March 14, 2007."

They surprisingly find their transfer numbers low, but realty is, not everyone is following the RegisterFly saga, and most of their clients are likely in the dark. ICANN has done nothing to rectify this.

ICANN needs to wake up and smell the freakin coffee. They need to understand that they must take action, for everyone's sake. Get off your lazy asses.

RegisterFly... fly away!

So in a complete shock to some, a US federal judge ruled that Kevin Medina is the sole shareholder of RegisterFly. Further, the guy challenging him, John Naruszewicz isn't planning to appeal.

We know this is all the sorted tale of a failed love affair between Medina and Naruszewicz.

The court douments show a story of lies, deceit and fraud. ICANN is reading to pull accreditation. 75,000 domain names were lost by RegisterFly due to their incompetence.

Bob Parsons had an interesting take on it all. I'm not sure that he even read the court documents. In any case, it seems inevitable that what was once a love tale, is now destined to bankruptcy.
