The same old of the same old
So Stephane Dion was elected as the new leader of the Liberals. Let me put on my shocked face.
Dion. Another Liberal leader from Quebec. "A nation within a united Canada." Where do they pick these people? It's just the same thing over and over. If I weren't a decided Green voter, I'd vote for the Conservatives before I'd vote for Dion.
What new ideas does he really have? I just see it as more of the same. They want to gear up for an election. Thing is, we just had one, and the Liberals lost.
Every day the thought of Prime Minister Elizabeth May, how much I may or may not like her, is sounding even better.

I really like the way you think. I am a Liberal, but I have also been supporting the Green Party (because it has great ideas and I want it to push the NDP out of the House of Commons one day). However, having been involved in the leadership process myself (I ran as a delegate for Kennedy) and having seen how it worked (correction: how it didn't work), I have been having serious doubts.
I swore that I, a Liberal, would not vote Liberal if Ignatieff had won. Now, he's the second in command, and I fear that he'll be the de facto leader. The jury is still out, but I may well end up voting Green the next time myself. I might even join the Green party.
And I know many grassroots members who are just as disgusted with the way the leadership vote was handled.
